Since 2018, ProjectFunction has worked to create pathways for the marginalised in Tech for over 90 learners by delivering over 76 free sessions.
After 4 years, 7 waves, 9 notes, 25 backers, 78 sessions, 90 Learners, and an uncountable number of community supporters, this marks the end of a wonderful era for ProjectFunction. This bitter-sweet post will be the last from ProjectFunction as you know it. It outlines how we got here, why the temporary preservation is necessary, and most importantly what it means for the community going forward.
Our Commitments
Our courses are designed for beginners. No tech experience is needed; we start from the basics.
All our lessons are frequently updated and tweaked to reflect new advancements in the tech industry.
We champion our learners on their journey into tech, with all our heart! You’re in good company.
Our Story
ProjectFunction is formed of a small team of people who understand the challenges faced by marginalised people today, as we all belong to this very group. Having overcome (some of!) these day-to-day challenges ourselves, we are determined to keep doing our bit.
"When you get these jobs that you have been so brilliantly trained for, just remember that your real job is that if you are free, you need to free somebody else. If you have some power, then your job is to empower somebody else." — Toni Morrison
Our Community
All learners, regardless of their race, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or financial position, should have access to the resources they need to take part in our courses.
